I take a 6 step approach to web site and web application development:
Step 1. Define the Strategy
This phase begins with an initial contact and continues with a formal quote stating the scope of services. I discuss the project basics and requirements to establish a clear understanding of the project and detail the proper objectives and agenda for the client’s website.
Step 2. Planning and Implementation
This phase commences with full exploration of ideas and produces a detailed, working rough draft wire frame that will be designed and coded according to the strategy.
Step 3. Content and Coding
This phase consists of implementation of web content and full coding of the front end and back end of the site. Alpha and Beta releases are presented to the client.
Step 4. Testing and Edits
Testing is done to ensure error free code and fully compliant HTML, CSS, Javascript and UI aesthetics. The site is tested to ensure compatibility with every major search engines.
Step 5. Deployment
The site is launched and live. I deploy the client’s site to a preferred hosting server and transfer the live site from the testing environment to the client’s server.
Step 6. Analysis and Monitoring
I monitor the client’s site and track user activity and interactions. I make edits where needed and make recommendations to further optimize the website for better client and server side performance.
